In preparation for my colour gels shoot on Monday I decided to apply some of the pieces I had made and photograph them using colour gels.
I am over the moon with how the roses turned out. I think they are really beautiful pieces and exactly what I want the Abbellita brand to show. They did take a little longer than I expected to apply but this is not too much of an issue for my shoots as I can just plan time accordingly, but removal was a little trickier as there was quite a bit of glue residue left over. I think this could be to do with the pieces not being on the skin for a long amount of time, so when shooting I will make sure that i plan out the costume changes so that no glue residue from removal will be visible.
This last design was one that I though of when I had some space left over on the sheet. I am not blown away by the piece and I don't think it is very striking or effective so am not sure whether I will continue to make it.
It may fit in well with some future pieces I make and feature however so I will keep an open mind until I have tried it out with others in different arrangements.
