The first shoot I plan on doing is a shoot using colour gels. I have discussed the shoot with my photographer Ellie Mitchell and have planned to do this on Monday 21st March. I was really inspired by the images of Adriana Lima in LOVE Magazine S/S16 issue as I thought that the use of colour on a relatively plain set looked really striking.
I would like the styling to be similar to this shoot with glamorous black dresses and voluminous silky hair, and I may have to get another artist in to help me with the hair and makeup so that it does not take too long. This is something I will establish through a trial shoot which I aim to do on the 17th or 18th March in the small beauty studios where I will time the application process and ensure that the pieces show effectively under the lights.
I have discussed with my photographer that I would like the background to remain dark but would like to play around with the levels of colour in the images, with some looking natural with hints of colour and others being fully saturated. She has told me she will discuss ideas on how to get these effects with a lecturer but she is confident that she has a good idea on what to do. After discussing this shoot with the photographer I feel that she understands the look I am going for and that is reassuring.
I think I will be mainly featuring the chain designs in this shoot as I feel that it fits with the feel of the shoot. I may pair the chains with some floral designs and will make sure that I have a variety of designs and back ups with me on the day.
